Shepard Avocados are one of the only varieties which do not turn brown after cutting! Many people seem to be unaware of this very interesting and convenient fact, although Shepard Avocados have been available in Australia since 2002. The skin is smooth and green and the ripe flesh tastes buttery and is a pale yellow colour. The best availability is early autumn.
