Wmart's thinly sliced cuts of Wagyu beef have been specifically prepared for use in gyudon, a popular Japanese dish.
"Gyudon" translates to "beef bowl" in English and consists of a bowl of rice topped with these thinly sliced pieces of beef, which are typically simmered in a mixture of soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and (often) onions.
The mix of Australian Wagyu and Japanese Wagyu beef in gyudon is a luxurious variation of the dish, as Wagyu is renowned for its rich marbling and exceptional tenderness. This makes the beef melt-in-your-mouth soft when cooked.
